Sample Applications of HOSCH Scrapers
HOSCH D-Series
HOSCH Type D2
Location: Brazil
Material: Iron Ore
The dynamic forces acting on the scraper in this video are easily absorbed by the spring suspension in the modules. Thus, the modules maintain constant contact with the belt, which is essential for a high and long-lasting cleaning performance.
HOSCH Type D2
Location: Australia
Material: Gold Ore
In this video, you can see two successive scrapers of the HOSCH Type D2. This is a rather rare sight, since in most cases a single HOSCH scraper will be sufficient. This is clearly shown in the video, as the first scraper cleans the belt almost completely. The subsequent scraper ensures perfect cleaning results.
HOSCH Type D2
Location: Morocco
Material: Phosphate
A rather high belt speed and the cohesive material phosphate (vital raw material for the production of many fertilizers) lead to a high volume flow hitting the scraper. A single HOSCH Type D2 efficiently cleans the conveyor belt, which can be clearly seen in the last section of the video.
HOSCH C-Series
HOSCH Type C3
Location: Netherlands
Material: Blast Furnace Slag
Blast furnace slag is a very abrasive material. In this video, the HOSCH scraper Type C3 cleans the conveyor belt thoroughly and without any problems. What looks simple is not an easy task under real operating conditions, as the fine grain and the abrasiveness of the material cause problems for many competitive scrapers.
HOSCH Type C2
Location: Malaysia
Material: Coal
A C2 scraper, in this case installed in a coal-fired power plant in Malaysia, ensures the best cleaning results, long service intervals, low maintenance expenses, and thus a high degree of operational reliability.
HOSCH Type C3
Location: Netherlands
Material: Iron Ore
The video shows how efficiently even a single HOSCH scraper works. The extremely high volume flow is absorbed by the HOSCH Type C3 and the whole conveyor belt is cleaned thoroughly. In cases like these, many suppliers would already use two or even three scraper systems. Due to the high efficiency of a HOSCH-scraper, one system can already meet these high demands.
HOSCH Type CT
Location: Netherlands
Material: Iron Ore
The extremely challenging material iron ore is one of the most difficult materials for conveyor belt scrapers. Due to a lack of space in the construction, the scraper can often only be installed at the pulley. With the CT scraper, HOSCH can realize unmatched cleaning results also on the pulley.
HOSCH Type C1-V
Location: Spain
Material: Wolfram/Tungsten
Tungsten as a bulk material places the highest demands on scraping technology. The material is used as a basis for the production of various carbides and is extremely abrasive. Thanks to years of research and wear-resistant tungsten-carbide scraper edges, HOSCH can also in this case guarantee very long service lifetimes with the best possible cleaning results.
HOSCH Type C1-V
Location: Morocco
Material: Phosphate
The HOSCH Type C1-V has been developed for narrow conveyor belts up to a belt width of 1000mm. It can be used both on the pulley and in the lower belt area. The overlapping modules of the scraper ensure a gapless and efficient cleaning. In the video, you can see the C1-V operating in the bulk material phosphate.
HOSCH B-Series
HOSCH Type B6-C
Location: Spain
Material: Dunite
The superior cleaning performance of a HOSCH scraper is particularly evident in this video. The very rare material dunite (valuable raw material carrier for chrome, gold, nickel, platinum, etc.) has a high cohesiveness and hits the scraper in large volume flows. A gapless fine cleaning by the installed HOSCH Type B6-C protects the plant, ensures operational safety and thus a smooth operation in the plant.
HOSCH Type B6-C
Location: Australia
Material: Iron Ore
In the video, you can see some ship loading with iron ore via a very fast conveyor belt. Especially in ship loading, trouble-free plant availability is essential, as downtimes would result in high costs. With the HOSCH scraper Type B6-C shown in the video, you can achieve extremely long lifetimes and cleaning performances that guarantee the required plant availability.
HOSCH Type B6-C
Location: Australia
Material: Lithium
Cleaning conveyor belts that transport lithium is a challenging task. Lithium is difficult to clean due to its high abrasiveness and the chemical components in the raw material. In addition to the mechanical resistance of the scraper, the chemical resistance of the components is also important in this application.
HOSCH Type B6l-C
Location: Denmark
Material: Miscellaneous in Port Operations
Traditionally, the focus is not on fine cleaning in the inner belt area, but it may become necessary in special cases for the sake of plant protection. In the video, you can see a conveyor belt of a port operation where there is a lot of moisture in the inner belt. If not cleaned properly, this leads to slippage and a loss of friction between the conveyor belt and the drive-pulley, which considerably reduces the plant availability. The HOSCH scraper Type B6I-C is a complete main scraper, which has been further developed for inner belt application.
